• Indefinite pronouns are used to identify a member of a gender class, awiiya, specifying a member of the animate class, and gegoo, of the inanimate class.
• Note that unlike most other pronouns in Anishinaabemowin, indefinite pronouns do not have distinct forms for plurals and obviatives (4th persons).

• The following are some examples of the usage of interrogative pronouns in sentences:

Awiiya na wiishkobi-bakwezhigan? 'Is there any cake?' (C&G)

- Awiiya iidog waaboozoon dazhiikawaad, gii-pitikonidizo.'Someone working on a rabbit accidentally cut herself.' (MK)

- Gaawiin geyaabi awiiya madwe-miigaadisiiwag," odigoon giiwenh. 'There is nobody to be heard fighting any more," she tells her.' (MK)

- Gaawiin gaye awiiya odaa-zhoomiingwetawaasiin, gaawiin sa go gegoo. 'No one would smile at her or do anything at all.' (MK)

- Mii go gaye wiin naasaab enaajimod imaa nibaad noondawaad awiiya gichi-bagidanaamonid. 'But he told the same story about sleeping there, that he heard someone breathing hard.' (
MK)

- Giishpin awiiya izhaad iwidi, mii ezhi-gichi-noodininig. 'If someone goes over there, it gets very windy.' (MK)

- Mino-doodaw gakina awiiya. 'Be kind to everyone.' (OLS)

- Gakina awiiya izhaawag, gaawiin niin. 'Everybody is going, except me.' (OLS)

Nookomisiban iko anooj gegoo ingii-ig. 'My late grandmother used to tell me all sorts of things.' (MK)

- Mii gaye gaawiin gegoo i'iw. 'There wasn't anything there.' (MK)

- Mii iidog imaa apane ezhaawaad maa'ishkamowaad gegoo go adaawewaad ozhooniyaamiwaad. 'That's where they always go shopping to buy things when they have money.' (MK)

- Mii gegoo odayi'iimini ezhi-ganawendang a'aw zhiigaa, a'aw ikwe. 'The widow, the lady, keeps her husband's belongings.' (MK)

- Gaawiin giiwenh gegoo gii-izhiwebizisiin giiwenh. 'Nothing whatever happened to her.' (MK)

- Mewinzha go anooj gegoo gii-ikidowag ingiw anishinaabeg. 'The Indians used to say all sorts of things long ago.' (MK)

- Akina sa go gegoo gii-izhichigewag odaminowaad ingiw oshki-aya'aag. 'Those young people did all sorts of things when they played.' (MK)

- Akina gegoo ingii-kikinoo'amaag ji-izhichigesiwaan. 'She taught me all the things that I wasn't to do.' (MK)
