VTA verbs are those classified as transitive animate, meaning that they take
an animate direct object. VTA verbs can be subclassified in part on the basis
of the final sound of their stems, which may be standard (e.g., end in /m/),
/Cw/ (where C stands for a consonant such as /z/, /zh/, or /'/), /aw/, /N/,
which is an abstract segment that is realized as both /zh/ and /n/, and /S/,
which is realized as both /s/ and /sh/. In addition, the verb izhi, 'say
to AN' is quite irregular, so I have provided its paradigm separately.
