• The negative word used with the independent order is gaawiin, e.g., gaawiin nimikanziin imbabagiwayaan. 'I can't find my shirt.'
• Note that no marking for plural occurs in the first person plurals, inclusive and exclusive, which both have first person plural suffix /-min/. In all dialects of Ojibwe, this suffix is never followed by a number suffix (e.g., inanimate plural). top
