• The example verb used here is mamoon, 'take IN, pick IN up.' VTI's that have theme sign /-oo/ are also commonly called VTI2 verbs, as they are in Nichols and Nyholm 95.
• Note that no marking for plural occurs in the first person plurals, inclusive and exclusive, which both have first person plural suffix /-min/. In all dialects of Ojibwe, this suffix is never followed by a number suffix (e.g., inanimate plural).
